Paul Pierce foi nomeado o jogador da semana pela Conferência Leste da NBA, correspondente aos jogos do dia 30 de Janeiro a 5 de Fevereiro.
Durante essa semana, o Celtics venceu suas quatro partidas, muito pelo fato de Pierce viver ótima fase. Pierce conseguiu alcançar uma média de 22 pontos, 6.3 assistências e 5.8 rebotes por jogo.
Já pelo lado Oeste dos EUA, o nomeado foi Tony Parker (San Antonio Spurs) com médias de 22.3 pontos, 8.0 assistências e 1.5 roubos por jogo. O Spurs também conseguiu um 4-0 na sua sequencia de partidas.

Que continue assim, sempre achei que PP ainda tinha muito gas, mas estou com a cabeça já na temporada que vem, pois não consigo ver muito caminho para nós nesta não, trata-se de uma temporada muito corrida e fica pesado para os times experientes. Acho que os times com idade baixa tem grande vantagem.
